YAMAHA
Tougher Than Golf

The Yamaha Golf Car Company is setting the technology standard again with its New G-Max Golf Car and U-Max Utility Vehicle line of products. Yamaha is the only company in the industry with 4-wheel independent suspension using hydraulic shock absorbers and coil springs.

In 1979 all the major manufacturers of golf cars had two-stroke engines where the operator had to mix two-cycle oil with the gasoline. Yamaha came out of the gates with a two-stroke design that had separate reservoirs for gas and for oil and the engine injected the right mixture without any doubt of accuracy. Since that very first G-1 engine Yamaha has taken the first step at almost every technological advance along the way. Yamaha is the best at this because they not only look at how a change or advance affects the operator - they measure the benefit to the end user as well. Yamaha has developed most of these technologies and constant improvements by extensively polling our customers and industry officials, and using the feedback to develop what the market needs in a safe and efficient way.

The G-Max Golf Car is available in Gas or Electric with 5 dynamic body colors. Yamaha offers Tan or Ivory seats at no charge up. The G-Max is one of the safest cars ever made with roll a way protection system and 5 mph bumpers on both the front and back of the car. The sides are protected with the century system wrap around protection so no body parts are ever scraped or scratched by another car.

The 357 F engine powers the Gas Yamaha Cars and all the electric Yamaha Golf Cars are controlled with the state of the art Genius diagnostics system that is powered by 6-8volt batteries in a straight line for easy watering and maintenance.
The U-Max Utility line of 5 vehicles provides Yamaha a base to offer virtually any specialty or custom unit for all specialized needs. The U-Max is made up of the Light Duty I and the Medium Duty I that have a custom roto-molded bed capable of a payload of 250lb. The medium duty I have a larger roto-molded bed and can handle an 800lb payload. Both the Light Duty I and the Medium Duty I are available in Gas and Electric. The Medium duty II comes lifted with 5.6 inches of ground clearance and larger 22” six ply tires for even the toughest terrain. The Medium Duty II is only available in gas and has the 11.4 Horsepower 357 cc engine as a powerplant. The power on the Electric cars is controlled by the High Tech Genius Diagnostic system. All Yamaha Brake cables are stainless steel teflon coated with overlapping protective rubber boots at each end to seal out all moisture. All the U-Max models come standard with 12-volt DC chargers and full front lights and horn.

Yamaha is now being captained by Rocky Atarashi - the new Vice President who came over from the very successful Yamaha snow mobile division. Stan Miser was recently promoted to Golf Car Division Manager and both Rocky and Stan have a common goal of providing Quality and dependability not only in products but in service, sales, and staff. Yamaha Golf Cars are made just outside of Atlanta - in Newnan Georgia and they are the largest employer in the Coweta County area with over 900 employees.
